Like many great Jersey Shore stories, ours begins with family, memories, and a deep connection to this special stretch of Jersey coastline.

HOMEGROWN ROOTS

Owner Chris and his wife, Charlene's, story begins right here in Monmouth County – literally, from day one. They first met in the maternity ward of Riverview Hospital in 1972, later reconnecting on the athletic fields of Red Bank Catholic High School.

Their early memories are steeped in local traditions: days spent at Keansburg Boardwalk, afternoons at Sandy Hook, and countless mornings started right with a perfect Jersey Shore bagel.

THE CALIFORNIA YEARS

Life's journey took the family to California, where Chris and Chrlene built successful corporate careers. During their time on the West Coast, they developed an even deeper appreciation for quality ingredients and locally-sourced foods (and as Charlene will tell you from a memorable restaurant experience in Spain – she knows her avocados).

COMING HOME

When the opportunity to return to the Jersey Shore presented itself, they knew it was time to come home. The chance to take over a beloved bagel shop in the heart of historic Ocean Grove wasn't just a business opportunity – it was the perfect blend of Chris's lifelong passion for baking, learned from his mother, their shared entrepreneurial spirit, and a deep connection to the shore.
